First had a lecture about barrios in Buenos Aires (a barrio
is a neighborhood). Then we had a politics and development class. After that we
had the day free to work on this insanely intense project that is due on
Thursday that we were just told about a few days ago. We have to work in groups
of 4 to complete it.
We spent, and I kid you not, about 6 hours working today.
Our project is basically to develop a part of a city. We need to do internal
rate of return analysis (which no one has done before), draw a complete site
plan, have building height drawings, write a proposal, and do a presentation.
Not sure how all of this is going to happen. But today was a little stressful
trying to figure it out.
I got home around 7:30 and we ate dinner at around 8:30. It
was nice to eat with our host mom again because for the past few days we had
been rushing around and didn’t have time to eat all together. She saw how
stressed we were and made us crepes with dolce de leche. She’s the best.
